Client 001

Former Member

We just start using XI and SCM, and have consultants come to install and config for us. However, now, we have AD, AQ, and AP all using client 001 for our daily application usage. As I understand, we should not use 001.

Can anyone tell me the affect on we using Client 001? If we want to correct it back to normal business say use 620 for AD, 650 for AQ and 680 for AP. What steps shall I do?

Thank you for advice.

Hi,

use scc4 for creating your clients and then fill it with data using sccl/scc9.

We worked on client 001 for almost 10 month (on XI and SCM). What is the impact if we create new client and move now? We plan to upgrade our system to ECC 6.0 sometimes next year. Do you think we create clients and move to new clients at that time will be better? Please advice.

Hi

Your questions is not clear and you confused in the landscape confirugartion.

Client 000 is used for the template to make another working client

Client 001 is used for the java to do post configuration and make tamplate for the another working client.

As i understand from your question that you did not create the client and working on the 001 client which you should not do.

Please create the client from the 000 and start to work and make customing there.

AD - development server

AQ - Quality server

AQ - Production server

Your client strategy is not clear and you should adopt the client strategy by the SAP recommendation, 900 is recommending for the Production.
