Hi ALL,
We have recently Upgraded SAP R/3 4.6c System to ECC 6.0. Its a HP-UX, Oracle 10.x - ABAP only Installation.
Now, I want to Install / add JAVA Instance on to existing ABAP Instance.
During JAVA add on Installation, SAPinst aks to set rdisp/msserv_internal as per SAP Note - 821875.
When I set rdisp/msserv_internal to 3602 and bounce SAP Instance, SAP llicense expires and Users are unable to Log on.
Port # 3602 is NOT used by any other applications.
Thanks,
Look at the log file in the installation directory, it will more info about why it was file. Did you take back up of profile before the change ?

Hello,
I do not understand why this has to do with SAP license, as the a temporary license is automatically installed.
To install java license you have to use visual administrator.
Check the install logs, messages server logs to diagnose it further.
Cheers,
Nisch

Hello NIsch,
I am NOT trying to Install JAVA License.
I want to Install JAVA Instance on existing Upgraded (From 4.6c) ECC 6.0 System.
During the JAVA Instance Install, I get Message to set "rdisp/msserv_internal", and thats where ALL the problem starts.
The JAVA Installation would not continue if I do not set the parameter.
Thanks.
The Java message server only uses the internal message server
port. The Java message server is configured in the SCS instance profile.
The internal message server port uses the parameter
rdisp/msserv_internal with default value <b>39<nn>,</b> where <nn>
is the instance number of the SCS message server instance.
For more information about the parameters used for internal
and external message server ports, check SAP Note 821875.
if helpful reward points are appreciated
