When are SAP Business ByDesign System Key Pairs being updated? (Communication Arrangements)

Hello community,

We are currently facing the problem that many communication arrangements of ByDesign systems of our customers use a SSL Client Certificate as an authentication method.

If I download a SAP Business ByDesign System Key Pair for a communication method, the

certificate.cer file is valid until a specific date.

- Are these key pairs automatically being updated?

- If not, I assume that communication arrangements that use an outdated key pair will not work correctly. How is it possible to generate a new signed version of this certificate that is longer valid than the current one?

For those of you who need an official answer from SAP for this question:

"Yes, these certificates will be automatically renewed and a notification is sent to Key users in system about the expiry of certificate, you may download the new certificate form same communication arrangement (check the validity after download) and upload them to connected system."
