Triversity Integration and customization

I am currently implementing SAP Netweaver 2004s and SAP POS(Triversity).

I would like to customize the POS Interface(Cashier) to read third party databases to gather more information such as inventory in other stores, customers, etc.than what the out of box solution provides.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how would it be implemented? Can the Triversity SDK be used or are there 3rd party applications I can buy?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
