Hi Gurus,
I need to monitor history of data while loading to cube/ods. Details like num: of failed records, reason for error, log error message if any, all errors in a load, all successfull uploads, tracking the requests. Do you have any sample programs or the list of tables.
Thanks in advance.
Anup
Hi Anuroop,
If you want to see the for ODS u can go in manage data targets and see the requsets which have been loaded into it ,from where the requsets are loading thorgh which chain and which IP's .You can also be able to see the activa table , change log and activaition queue and u can reconstruct the requests also ,
same is in the Cube , for this u can access IC through RSA1 and can check its logs and requsets that are loaded till date and wat kind of updates going on. u can compree requset , roll up the requsets if needed.
hope it helps,
Supriya

Thanks for the response. Actually I'm interested in the tables that stores these values. And from your replies, got some valuable information, so that I can (sql performance)trace those transaction codes and find the required tables.

Hi Anup,
The best way to monitor would be by using the Technical stats.
Do you update BI Tecnical stats regularly? If yes, then just by running a few business content queries (or BI Admin Cockpit), it should be a easy task for you.
Please also let us know what version of BI are you on? (3.5/ 7.0)
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ashish

Ashish,
You can go to the monior screen through Manage. Once you recah there in Monitor screen, you can able to see Job Overview button. If you click on that, it will guide you to program and you can check the log of the program ran. Then in the monitor screen you can see error stack. If you click on this you will able to see the error reason.
If the load is failed you can see the logs in the details also.
Hi Anuroop,
You can see status of all the requests in the monitor screen, filter it with suitable time period .. and you can see all the loads that have been fired for the infosource !!
