Hi Gurus,

My environment is Hadoop in Linux and SAP Data services is on Windows. On windows server we installed HDFS clients and HIVE. We are trying to load data into HADOOP. Then we are getting the error like "System call <LoadLibrary> to load and initialize DLL or shared library functions failed for <hdfs.dll>. Ensure that the library is installed and Located properly". We had configured the class path and path libarries as given in SAP Manual for Hadoop integration. Any idea whats going wrong. Appreciate your help.

Hello Pan,

This is error occurs when the job server has not been configured to connect to hadoop file system.

If you currently have a windows job server and you are attempting to connect to a Hadoop file system on a Linux machine I suggest you install SAP Data Services 4.2 SP10 as this now can connect via Hadoop web service or HTTPFS protocol.

This is the preferred option since Apache Hadoop does not release binaries readily available for Windows
