Exporting Data in a Excel or Word Template

is it possible to export data in a word or excel template and to download the office document.

have you tried the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/d1/af8841349e1909e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">OfficeControl</a> UI element? There are examples in the system in package SIOS.

Yes I had a look to the package sios. But I have no idea how I can solved my problem yet.

Hello Marcus,

I can help you with the word document. But with the Excel file, I can only give pointers.

For word document...Store the data in a string and convert it into Raw data. There are many Conversion methods available.

Once converted, you can use a Link to Action or File Download UI element to download.

For the Excel file, the only way I can think of is,

1) Store the data in a Node

2) Convert the Node into XML format

3) Download the XML format into Excel (or) convert the XML to Excel RAW data and then use Link to Action or File Download UI Element.

I have never tried this, but if you can do some research and also let me know it would be great
