could anyone please help me configuring optional holidays in Holiday calendar?

create with different public holiday class & link them to selection rules acording to the day type u wish to assign for optional holidays
You can create the Optional Holidays same as Normal Holidays and then you may include them in your Holiday Calendar for that particular year.
