Java/J2EE developer new to CAF!

Hi,

I am a Java/J2EE developer but now I have started to work on CAF and Composites.

Can anyone provide me the necessary documents and also the steps to proceed while learning CAF and Composition Environment.

Hi Manish,

I think it's absolutly helpful to have a look on this page: [original link is broken] [original link is broken] . It's worth to read because it reveals the purpose and need of one of CAF's key components: entity services (=name under 7.0, under 7.1 entity services are renamed to business objects, but they have the same behaviour and handling). Please be aware of the fact that Maintenance UIs are no longer supported by 7.1 (so you can ignore this part of this document).

Maybe this link will be useful to you: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/index.htm and then navigate to <i>Developer's Guide --> Developing and Composing Applications --> Composing Services with CAF</i>

Here, you can find more information about the concept of CAF. Also in the <i>Tasks</i> section the main tasks when developing composites are described.

As far as I know - soon will be released the latest version of this guide.

I want to ask a question here, Can I straight away start working on CAF or do I require to gather information regarding other SAP modules and than only I should start with CAF.

Please guide.

As I am able to functionally understand the concepts of CAF but I am not able to understand that how shall I move forward.
