Hi

When I create a service call, i could not assign technician name, even though i have given in the employee master as a technician.

Hello,

when you click teh choose from list button of the technician field, did you see the technician name in the list of employees ?

Another query, what about serial no., item no. and description ? is it filled in their fields ?

I hope you did not forget ot define role first before assign the employee to service call. The role must be filled on tab membership --> matrix roles --> drill down to find the roles list or set up. you set the role and assign to membership tab after finishing define employee in employee master data.

Let me know for more detail.

On Behalf of Mr.Isayah, i am continuing the thread.

As he said we are facing problem in service module. We are unable to assign a technician.

We cud'nt see the Technician name even in the list of employees opened from Service Call window.Even though all details like serial no, item no, etc are filled, no 'employee master data' is viewed.

Previously the Employee was defined 'Technician' under tab Membership.

it is quite working well in OEC company.

The problem arises only in new company. Is there anything we missed in configuration of new database?

It is urgent. Plz guide us.

May I now on which patch you are working..

I had faced the same problem in earlier patches

But right now i am working on Patch 25 .it is working fine

If I assign employee role as sales employee in memership tab, then it is coming in the service call screen now, how can i change that one...

Hello Isayah,

we can't change the employee role to other except add another beside current role because the current role has been included in the closed service call, if that's what you mean in your last message.

Hi All,

I know it is a too old thread to reply to. But I too face the same issue. All my Sales Employees are listed when i click the 'Choose from List Button' for Technician and no technician is listed. i have 4 companies i nmy db and this is the case with 3 companies. But it works fine in 1 Company. And when I checked the databse, entries in role masters tables of these companies actually differs which I think is a bug.

Since i'm not using any patch, i hope this issue must have already been fixed.
