Dear experts,

We have to do unit testing in bw system for an implementation project but we do not have any meaningful dara or functional knowledge.

In this case i wonder if we create only one record and that too redundant, what could b the issues. Can anybody explain with an example

create the same record 50 times and load it using a flat file or in your ECC box. are you doing testing in BW DSo or data target loading or reporting testing?

How can you test if you do not connect to a source system? That's a major part of the test.

Thank you for your reply Amer and Tammy.

We have to do unit test for all the objects of bw be it ds,cube, dso. We have tables in bw itself inside which we have to create dummy data and in further testing phases, it will fetch data from ECC.

Although we will be doing integration testing after UT but Since we are not getting actual data and we are struggling to get same. we want to show customer a good example of data which could lead to design change/rework in further phases. It could be an example from SD,master objects anything.

Thanks
