SAP C4C workflow rules- Notifications to Involved party members

Dear Experts,

We have the requirement where :-

1) An email is to be sent to all the involved party members as soon as they are added to an opportunity.

2) Also When the opportunity is won then also it should send the notification to all the involved party members.

Can somebody please help how can we do this via workflow rules?

Dear Saurabh,

It is not possible to have Notification and E-mail in the same workflow rule. If you want both you need to have 2 different workflow rules.

1. Coming to the first requirement. If you want to achieve this using workflow rules, you are right, you have to create multiple for each involved party. You can add all parties in one, but what would happen is, whenever any involved party is added/modified, all other parties would receive the notification. If you are OK with this let me know, I shall share the steps with you.

Note: can you check of feeds can help here? I think whenever a user is added to the opportunity even as a party role, that user should receive a feed notification.

2. your second requirement is not clear to me. Do you mean that whenever an involved party is added and the opportunity is set as won, then the email needs to be sent? Also, emails to whom? Can you please elaborate here.

1) Can you please tell me how feeds will be able to fulfill my requirement here? Please explain.

And also if I don't want other involved parties to be notified when some involved party is removed or modified.

Can you share the steps with me if I want to create the workflow separately for every involved party. As I am left with this option only.


2) Second requirement is when opportunity is won it should trigger a notification to all the involved parties (suppose Sales Manager-Saurabh Sharma) .

Hello Saurabh,

You’d need two rules here. To send the email to the new party, system allows the scenario only for sales team. On Actions, you select Email and set Recipient for Sales Team – Added Party.

For the Won scenario, you can create a new one, with condition Status = Won and set Action to Send Email. On Recipients, we do not have a single option to send it to all involved parties, but you can select several ones and it should work.

Hi Felipe,

1) I want notifications to involved parties actually when they are added to opportunity. Because we are not using sales team. And in involved parties there are many roles other than sales team. So I want notification to all of them. How can I do this?

2) Also I want that when opportunity is won set action to send email. So in this scenario I will have to create several workflow rules for each and every role?
