Is it possible to use the SAP Gamificiation engine with the SAP Jam, I read in the documentation that the only gamification engine is BunchBall can this be true?
@christian how to "embed OpenSocial gadgets" into SAP Jam UI, such as on "people's profile pages"?
I can build and embed them in group page, but not user profile page.

It is possible to use the SAP Cloud Platform Gamification service (or any other gamificatoin engine) with SAP Jam.
But keep in mind that the Gamification service is no out of the box product. It's a service only. As of today it doesn't have any consumer facing UI out of the box. So you will have to build one on top of it, ideally on SAP Cloud Platform.
We've seen implementations for that that.
On a very high level you would have to do the following:
- Build end-user UI for Gamification on SAP CP as OpenSocial gadgets
- embed OpenSocial gadgets into SAP Jam UI, such as on people's profile pages to show the badges, points etc.
- use push notifications (aka webhooks) from SAP Jam to automatically inform the Gamification service about things that are happening in SAP Jam and that should trigger Gamification points
- use a technical alias account in SAP Jam as the trigger to send push notifications to the Gamification service
Best, Christian
