Document is being distributed-changes are not possible

Hi All,

Please help me with the following problem.

I have created a service order in CRM with sales item in it and once i click on save, the sales item(s) are being replicated to R/3 in a sales order.

But after a while when I try to go into change mode in the same CRM service order,it doen't allow me to switch to edit mode, and give the message as mentioned in the subject line.

Also, for the service order in CRM,in the status tab,"the R/3 Transfer and R/3 status" still say " To be distributed".

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Regards

Madhav

Hello Madhav,

The distribution probably failed and that's why your service order is still 'locked'.

Check if there are Bdocs (SMW01) or queues (SMQ1 SMQ2) stuck for your service order. Queue names have in their name (in a default configuration) the object number they contain. (In the bdoc monitor SMW01 you can also select by queuename)

If a queue or a bdoc is stuck, try to reprocess it, this will complete the distribution and remove the distribution lock.

Hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Joost

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

However the replication to R/3 has occured successfully.

The problem I am encountering is that I am unable to go into the CRM Service order in edit mode after it has been saved and gone to R/3.

It says "Document is being distributed-changes are not possible".

Any comments on this plz..

Hi Madhav,

Please check with the middleware replication scenario. For me it looks like that you are using the scenario Z. (Orders created in the CRM Server are transferred to the R/3 Back End. During the initial transfer to the R/3 System, the document is directly converted from original system CRM to R/3. From now the documents can only be processed in the R/3 System)

By the way what is your requirement? Do you want to change the order in both the systems until the delivery takes place? Then you need to use the scenario A. What is your system landscape versions on CRM and R/3?

Please refer to the OSS note 541113 for better understanding on the middleware scenarios.

Hi

If there is a problem with a single transaction try running the report

CRM_CHECK_DISTRIBUTION_STATUS.

This will allow you to change the order.

Hi Madhav,

Our current scenario is also similar to your scenario : R/3 4.6C with CRM 5.0

We have defined the middleware replication scenario in R/3 table CRMPAROLTP as X, where order from CRM is uploaded into R/3. Until order is not changed in R/3, we are not allowed to make changes in CRM. Once order is changed in R/3 then we can't make any changes.

For me it looks like, you are using the scenario Z instead of X

In any case once the order becomes R/3 order then it is not possible to make changes in the CRM order.

The scenario A supports order changes in both the systems, but R/3 4.6C doesn't support.

Madhav

Check in SMQ2 to see if there are any sysfails for R3AD queues for your BPs. Seems like from your explanation that document has reached ok to ECC but still doc is non editable in CRM. Most probable cause for this may be sysfail queues. Please check.

Also check SMQ1 in ECC to see the queus is struck on ECC side.

Thanks
