How to display the CTC PDF Form in Standard ESS

Former Member

Hi all,

In R/3 a HR Form is created to display a CTC of every employee.

Now I need to integrate this in portal.

Is there any standard services available. Since it is employee specific is it possible to create a transaction iview and call that function group.

Or else we have to create webdynpro application to achive this function.

Thanks

It depends on the type of the form. For remuneration statement, there is a standard form and corresponding T - iview to pull it onto Portal.

What is your form meant for ?

Hi Narasimha,

Thanks for your reply,

Here is my requirement, We have created one Z Program to display the CTC(some components like Basic Pay, HRA, etc) of an employee in R/3 and the data is displayed in a form not in PDF.

I want this to be published in portal for employees.

1. Is there any iviews available to call the Z Program in such a way it should display the information of user X, when i login with user X.

2. or Should I have to develop webdynpro application to call the Z Program to display the form.

Thanks again.

A custom webdynpro and iview should support your requirement.

All the best.

Thanks

Hello!

I would recommend web dynpro because of the better UI - but that's only because I am not a fan of making SAP transactions available via portal.

It is possible without much effort in WD to make any ABAP list report and smartform available as PDF on the portal by using the reporting framework DC that comes with ESS package.

You should still be able to make your Z program available via transactional iView if you include logic in your program to check on sy-uname and then get pernr via IT105/0001.

Hi

Do ESS Licenses work for viewing the transactional iView also?

Thanks & regards

yes it does but the transactional iview has to be an employee view not a generic report. technology doesn't stop you in doing so but it will be license violation.
