Hi there,
Does anybody knows if it is possible to translate European commodity codes to American commodity codes. In other words, if I have the European commodity code, can I derive the American commodity code?
Thank you!
Hi Dave,
Sorry to contradict you, but if the point of Sebastian is to somehow copy the products classifications from one classification to another (e.g. Product classification EU-TARIC to Product Classification US-HTS), then the Number Sets in GTS can achieve that.
The main constraints are:
- As far as I know, only works for 1-to-1 relationship (i.e. One TARIC code = One HTS code)
- The 1-to-1 relationships table (for derivation) has to be defined by users
- Of course, company has to purchase (or manually maintain) the classification codes
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks and regards.
