SAP Gateway - Periodical Tasks - Job

Hi ,

We have noticed a Daily Job that has been running (Active).

SAP_IWFND_APPS_LOG_CLN

This is starting at 3:00 am and is still running in the afternoon, taking hours !

We had to stop the job because it does not seem to be finish and is active for a long time.

Does anyone know the reason for the above issue?

Regards

Lavanya

    Hi Lavanya,

Did you check the job status and does the job still running ?

Do you see same pattern daily ?

You can also check work process status and see the action/table have been changing or not.

You can check the job is active or not by checking the job log was updated with recent time stamp or not. The job log may not give right info if the job is active or not but you can check the corresponding DB thread is active or not. You can ask Basis to check the threads.

You can check STAD for the date and program and check where it is consuming more time.

The job is running for long time due to various reasons. Either it could have more data to delete or more processing time or DB response time might be high or stuck or some reason. By checking all areas you may know why it is consuming more time.

You can enable trace as well.

    Thanks

    Rajendra.

    Hi Lavanya,

    Hi,

I know the answer comes a bit late, but for this job you need the following authority:

    Else it will run endless.
