Charts of depreciation are used in order to manage various legal requirements for the depreciation and valuation of assets. These charts of depreciation are usually country-specific and are defined independently of the other organizational units. A chart of depreciation, for example, can be used for all the company codes in a given country
Pls assign points as way to say thanks

Hi Janardhan,
The Chart of Depreciation is the list of Depreciation Areas arranged according to Business & Legal Requirement. The Chart of Depreciation enables you to manage all rules for the valuation of assets in a Particular Country.
You Must assign a Chart of Depreciation to each Company Code that is defined in Assets Accounting.SAP Provides a Country Specific COD with Predefined Depreciation Areas. These COD serve only as a Reference for creating your own COD.When Creating a COD you have to Copy Reference COD.
The COD is always Country Specific.
Each Company Code uses one Chart of Accounts & One Chart of Depreciation.
Please Assign Points If found useful.
Thanks & Regards,
Pankaj Singhal
