R720 event not getting triggered for partial payments

Hello experts,

In case of partial clearing, if the document being cleared is not associated with a contract then the reconnection event R720 is not getting called. The issue appears to match the symptoms described in the note 1336163 - Disconnection:items without contracts not processed in R720 but this note is in effect in our system. It looks like that note addressed issues in the FM ISU_PREP_CHECK_DISC_BY_VTREF, whereas in our case after doing some debugging in event 20, FM ISU_CHCK_PAYM_VTREF_DISC_REL is not picking up disconnection related items if they dont have contracts.

We tried customizing event 20 to manually trigger event R720 but it causing unpredictable system behaviour and short dumps.

Any ideas on how we can enforce the checks in R720 in case of partial clearings in this scenario?

Thanks in advance

Hi Prashant,

In your scenario, if ISU_CHCK_PAYM_VTREF_DISC_REL is not picking up disconnection related items if they dont have contract, then the feed that is coming from import parameter of event 0020 (ISU_SAMPLE_0020) is not correct,as import parameter of event 0020 is the input for ISU_CHCK_PAYM_VTREF_DISC_REL.

Have you customised FM, ISU_SAMPLE_0020 or FKK_SAMPLE_0020?

Thanks,

Amlan

Thanks for the response Amlan. We have not customized event 20. But it looks like I know whats going on. In ISU_CHCK_PAYM_VTREF_DISC_REL, the disconnection related items are queried from dunning line item history FKKMAZE where the DISCNO field is not blank. Now we have a custom function module to create dunning disc docs where FKKMAZE is not updated for FICA documents without a contract (In the standard FM to create disc docs, all items in FKKMAZE are updated with the newly created disc doc number).

So because of this, in any subsequent clearing after disc doc creation, we see this side effect.

Cheers,

Prashant
