SLD configuration for XI 3.0

Hi Experts

Please guide me what exactly are the steps which i have to perform for SLD configuration in XI 3.0 for sending an idoc from ERP 6.2 version to 4.7 version using XI in between.

Any step by step guide would really be a great help.

Run RZ70 in Application systems and provide the required info like IP address of the XI server with gateway automatically the entries for both system will be created in XI SLD.

1 .Now create Business Systems using the entries made in SLD....and follow the reqular steps for any scenario.

Apart from this you need to set the partner profiles in Application systems two SAP systems are interacting..

Exact steps:

Goto R/3 make sure it is able to connect to SLD

1. Rz70 TC enter the SLD server details.

This will create the TS in the SLD of type WebAS ABAP

2. SLDAPICUST enter the details here related to SLD

3. Make sure you have the RFC dest like (TC/IP)

LCRSAPRFC

SAPSLDAPI

are maintained in r/3 pointing to XI

5. Once you have get the TS in SLD, create the BS for that make sure the LS name of the R/3 is mentioend in the BS ( it should be same)

These steps are makes the R/3 to speak to SLD...

Now on the R/3 side configure the trfc port to send the IDOC.....if the IDOC is receing from the XI then make sure the appropriate Partner Profile are created.

My scenario is basically want to connect one SAP 4.7 version system to another central SAP 6.2 version system using XI in between.

The scenario is basically sending iDOC to XI and then this XI to iDOC again.

Any help on this would be rewarded.

The next step is to create

software component

Technical system and the Business system in SLD for both SAP system.
