Sales doc gets stored in CV01N

Hello DMS experts,

Please correct me below DMS process is correct or not.

I have created one quotation document (XYZ).

And this quotation document got attached to CV01N.

Now again I have created one quotation(YYY) document with ref to (XYZ).

Automatically YYY will be storing in CV01N- Object link- sales document item.

I think this is the correct process , plz let me know if we want to restrict this process?

Hi Venugopal,

if I got your request right, it is about automatically copying object link data when creating a new document or version based on a reference document.

If this is true, you can control the object link behavior in the customizing of the document type in transaction DC10 at "Define object links". At the details for the different objects you find the field "When New Version" and here you can define how object links should be handled.
