Hello everyone -
Has someone tried creating a multi-source data foundation layer based on excel odbc connection and ECC? We are on BO ver. 4.2 sp02 and need to be able to blend data from SAP query with data from excel. When creating a multi-source data foundation layer, the excel odbc connection is grayed out and says 'this datasource is not supported in multi-source enabled data foundations'. Since it is possible to include another ECC or SQL relational connection, so the data federation layer seems to be working fine. Has anyone found a workaround for this scenario?
Thanks,
Arun
Thanks Amit...so, does this mean that it is not possible to consume an ODBC excel connection in a multi-source data federation layer?

other option is use excel as data provider directly in webi report and merge excel and universe level objects at webi level.
