Backup.sh error on file

When executing the ./backup.sh script. I get the following error :

hanab1:~/scripts> backup.sh : command not foundplate.cfg: line 7: : command not foundplate.cfg: line 15: : command not foundplate.cfg: line 27: : command not foundplate.cfg: line 57: : command not foundplate.cfg: line 68: : command not foundplate.cfg: line 83: ")syntax error: invalid arithmetic operator (error token is " touch: cannot touch `/usr/sap/\r/HDB00\r\r/hanab1\r/trace\r/script_log_backup_Thu.txt\r': No such file or directory : No such file or directoryg: line 1318: /usr/sap/

Please help. I followed all the steps in 1651055 - Scheduling SAP HANA Database Backups in Linux

i also faced same this happened because of copying it from windows to unix and gunziping it. To fix this use unixformat command once you opened the config file.

I am also facing same error in my backup.sh script.

Aniket comment is right. I will add how to solve the issue in a detailed manner. You are getting the error while executing backup.sh like below:

./backup.sh -t --config-file=backup_config_template.cfg

You should open the config file with vi and change the file type as follows:

  1. First open the file with the vi command

    vi backup_config_template.cfg
  2. Use :set ffcommands in vi command mode

    :set ff

    You can see our file format

    fileformat=dos
  3. Modify the file format to unix

    :set ff=unix
  4. Save and exit
    :wq!
