Hi

Order in which the system should work through the condition tables when searching for particular condition records. The search order should go from special condition records to general condition records.

Combination of several accesses to condition records.

The access sequence defines the order in which the system searches for condition records.

In Customizing for Sales and Distribution, you carry out this activity to check that the access sequence UTX1, which is relevant for pricing, exists.

Procedure

To check the access sequence, in Customizing for Sales and Distribution, choose Sales ® Pricing ® Pricing Control ® Define Access Sequences. You can also use transaction VK01. If you use VK01, enter A in Usage and V in Application. Choose access sequences.

If UTX1 does not exist, you must create it.

Result

An entry for access sequence UTX1 exists in table T682.

Hi Mohamed,

Access sequence is a search strategy used to pick one option amongest all available options. It also defines the order in which the system searches for condition records.

Assume you have a material M1 for a price of $100 per unit. Also assume you have a customer C1 to whom you have agreed to give the material at $95. Now the available options are to give the material at either $100 or $95. The access sequence is configured and used to choose one value among both the possible options.

Hope it had helped you. Do reward if you had felt the same.

Hi,

An access sequence is the sequential placing of condition tables in a logical order to obtain a condition record.

An access sequence is assigned to a condition type, and this condition type is placed into a pricing procedure.

U maintain ur condition records choosing an access sequence.

Depending on ur business requirements u can choose a desired sequence and maintain ur condition records for it.

Suppose u have to maintain price for ur products, now if the price is customer specific u can choose a sequence with both customer and material and if it is constant for all the customers u can choose the sequence with material only i.e. u can maintain the price at material level.

Hope it explained the concept.

Regards
