Pharmacy wholesale process (Vendor stock)

Hi - Is there a standard process for consignment stock for free of cost. Basically Consignment stock needs to show against vendor and should be moved to stock with zero value. It needs to be earmarked against the vendor when we move the stock to own. Then goods issue to customer needs to happen at free of cost. Only quantity should get updated in receipts and issue of consignment stock.

client gets paid for holding the stock of vendor and vendor bills customer directly. Stock is not owned by my client but needs to get stored in warehouse and earmarked against the vendor. Goods issue for sales order needs to happen from this earmarked stock.

Is there a standard way to achieve this ?

Hi - Please note vendors wants to know and see what has been supplied and earmarked. My client has own SAP system with EWM. Same material can be provided by different vendors. In some cases vendor may ask my client to own the materials too!! . My client will be paid for holding/storing these materials for the number of days. They will get paid for material cost + storing the materials .In those cases these materials become valuated. So question is how same material can be shown as vendor stock and own stock in different scenarios and how stock values need to shown in cases where my client owns the materials and in cases where my client does not own these materials. Please note in cases where materials are not owned by my client, these will have to be stored in a proper bin and shown as earmarked to vendor ,and post goods issue for sales order needs to happen from these stock only !!!. Vendors who supply these materials have their own SAP or non SAP system and they provide shipment notifications for these materials and have different agreement with my client for owning stock and providing different kinds of services. Vendors who supply materials will tell my client which portion of the stock needs to be owned and which needs to be earmarked against vendor stock without owning the material!

From my point of view is this not a consignment process at all.

You are nothing else than a service provider (warehouse floor for rent, handling ...) for an external party.

So it could just be done with non-valuated materials without going into a complexity of a consignment process.

Do you have your own SAP system, or do you have a seat on your vendors system?

If you have an own system, how will the goods issue happen? I guess you would not need delivery notes as this is done from your vendors system.

Hello kishan,

Pls clarify below points:

1. You have received the defect material from the customer and in place of that u r issuing a new material to the customer?

2. Are you talking about the Return free delivery to the customer?
