Single Sign-on between Java and BW System

I need to provide single sign-on feature between Java Application and between BW System. BW Reports will be called from the Java Application. So we need provide signle sign-on feature.

the Java Application uses windows authentication mechanism for authentication, while in BW the user id is totally different.

Has any one implemented this scenario before?

I heard about SPNego a mechanism you use for making single Sign On Using Kerberos Authentication with Web clients...
