Dear All,
What is the best method to prevent the reversal of Closed Fiscal year documents? Is there any way by which the reversal reasons, Reversal in Closed period and actual reversal in closed period can be blocked?
We want to prevent everyone from reversing old fiscal year documents.
Regards
Suresh
Sresh,
you can post closed year transactions also by using reversal reason,
but it will show effect the closed year financial statements so if you are making this in production server please explain this with client and take permission..
T-code F-08 for ordinary transactions
FBRA for clearing transactions

Dear All,
I know that it will post only to current period and no one can post to earlier period since the posting period is closed. But what i want to prevent is a document posted in 12/2006 period should not be allowed to be reversed now eventhough the reversal posting period is current period.

Suresh
Of course you can close last year's periods (OB52 and OKP1)
If you use yearly internal number ranges you can also shrink last year's number range in the to field to the current number. (FBN1)

Hi Suresh,
The reversal is always done in the same period, that means what ever reason you assign, not only the fiscal year but that posting period also need to be open.
In CO there are many options but not one in FI.
No reason would work.

Bharat
