SAP MDG S withholding tax configuration

Hi Experts,

we are configuring MDG S 9.0 on top of S4 HANA. In the supplier UI, after we create ERP vendor and select the company codes that we have configured, the entire with holding tax info is getting read only where as it should be editable.

Transaction BP has this enabled for the same company code. even for the existing vendors that were created from BP, data is not coming in MDG S UI.

Not sure if there is any other setting which controls this

Hi Rama,

The Witholding Tax field will be editable only if no extended witholding tax functionality is maintained for the company code.

If the company code has extended withholding tax functionality then some withholding tax fields will be read only.

Hi Gervase,

In our system, Extended Withholding Tax functionality is been activated for Argentina Company Code. And as a result Classic Withholding Tax section is been disabled.

But I have got a requirement from users of Argentina (AR) to utilize both Withholding Tax and Extended Withholding Tax functionalities for their business. Can you please specify if there is a way to customize the functionality, such that we can enable both Withholding Tax and Extended Withholding Tax functionalities for a specific region/company code.
