How to connect hybris Marketing 1611 on-prem with HCI or ext. systems?

Dear Commnity,

how can I connect hybris Marketing 1611 with SAP HCI and other external systems?

As far as I know, “Open Channel Integration” is used for this case. But it seems that “Open Channel Integration” is only available for 1702 and later versions.

In yMarketing 1611 we can't create "Communication Systems and Arrangements" as mentioned in https://help.sap.com/viewer/0f9408e4921e4ba3bb4a7a1f75f837a7/1708%20500/en-US/8785ec5fc30b40f0a9fd93...

What other possibilities are there? (e.g. for conversion of address data to geocoordinates)

dear Peter,

For on-premise "open channel" or "communication systems" are not used. Communication between Hybris Marketing and HCI can be either certificate-based or user-based. You would at least need to import the HCI certificates into Hybris Marketing, and the yMKT certifictaes into your HCI keystore (this will require a SAP incident). After which, you can use the (non-cloud) implementation packages in HCI to set-up your integrations, or build your own one.

Easiest would be to go through below, or get one of the Implementation Guides in HCI which you can find inside the packages under the documentatino tab.

But it is not yet clear to me how the data are transferred from hybris Marketing on-prem 1611 to HCI?

Open Channel integration is for Marketing Cloud unfortunately.

From yM to HCI e.g. when yM is sender, the SOAP protocol (wsdl) is used to connect. Authorization is either User Role or Client Certificate.

Is it possible in yMarketing 1611 on-prem to create a campaign and / or target group and send those customer data to HCI e.g. for further processing to an 3^rd system? If not, what other possibilities are there?

I found many documents for 1702 and later versions as well as for yMarketing cloud solution (e.g. open channel) - but not for 1611 on-prem

Dear Peter,

Unfortunately the 1611 page does not seem to be available anymore at SA. Also, since we skipped that version, I don't know exactly what is present in that version. sending campaign was added recently as far as I know, so you might need to build a custom solution to send that information to HCI in case you need to work with that solution.

I hope someone from SAP has a better answer to your question.
