Enable warning in MFBF backflush if external batch number already used for another material number

We currently use repetitive manufacturing with backflushing to externally assigned batch numbers. We would like the system to warn the user if the batch number entered in

MFBF (RM backflush) already exists for a different material. What is the best way to implement this change?

I don't think this option is available in the standard, but you can try to use BAdI RM_BFLUSH_GOODSMVT to implement your own logic.

SE18 RM_BFLUSH_GOODSMVT gives me an error BAdI definition RM_BFLUSH_GOODSMVT does not exist! We are on SAP_BASIS 640 and SAP_APPL 500 (ECC 5.0). Is there any other solution?
