Identifying hanged system

Hello All

Does anyone know how we can monitor our SAP system availability when the system is hanged?

We have "System Monitoring" implemented in "Solution Manager 7.2" that monitors our landscape.

It is possible to have an hanged SAP system even though the services did not crash. SolMan does not give an alert in such a scenario so we only know of this issue when users start to complain to our helpdesk.

Any idea anyone?
