Migrate update rules or transfer rules

What do we migrate update rules or transfer rules.

I will get two transformations.

Please answer.

PS - Manually have to take care of ABAP objects to ABAP OO objects

Hi

we should go for the both of these,because we will be loading data to BI in two stages,

One is from R/3 toPSA,and then from PSA to datatagets

In BW3.5 PSA is optional,mean while the data is stored in Infosource before loading into targets

From datasorce i.e R/3 to infosource transferrules

From Infource to data targets update rules

transfer rules are between datasource and infosource/transformation (if you in BI 7)

update rules are between infosource and data target

Hi Deepthi,

When you migrate update rules and transfer rules you will get two transformations. You will need to migrate both of the them individually and hence you will get two. Do migrate them just right click on the update/transfer rule, go to 'Additional Functions' and select 'Transformation erzugen'. I am not sure why this doesnt appear in english. It will ask you for an infosource name. Just give any name within customer namespace and the system will automatically generate transformation. Just check them and activate them.

Only one should be there between ODS and datasource why two.
