Sync2Async:

Refer this step by step

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/65d4dab39b0398e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

You can find the examples in the Integration Repository under SAP Basis , namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns under BpmPatternSyncAsyncBridge

Also check Usage of Sync-Async when both Sender and Receiver are Synchronous Apps

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1403 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]

sync 2 sync

Here the INterface maping will be 1 which contains both the reuest mapping and response mapping

async 2 async

Here also the interfce mapping is 1 ( normal design)

async 2 sync

might be helpfull

Hi joy,

sync 2 async

meaning is u r sendng request synchronously but getting the response asynchronously..(means u r not getting the response directly from the receiver...its coming via BPM)....

it depends upon ur scenario how many IM will be there...

if u r using one transformation in BPM ...then u have to use IM there.

so total 2 IM according to me!!

sync 2 sync

only 1 IM ..since u r directly getting the response from receiver and...both request and response will be in the same IM.

async 2 async

1 IM required..only request mapping will be there.

async 2 sync

again there can be 2 IM if u r using any kind of transformation inside BPM!!!
