Collective Availability Check

Experts,

We are trying to perform a collective Availability Check for Planned Orders, via MDVP, unfortunately, for the majority of the materials it does not work. The program keeps throwing up a unable to read message "09", and does not perform the availability checks on those Order/Materials. I have checked, I think, all the possible Material Master entries, against a material that did work, and the entries all seem to be in line. Why is the error being generated and how can the error be fixed?

Regards,

Madagex

    Hi Omar,

Please refer to OSS note 93117 - ATP result of collective availability check: This should help you resolve issue. You need to check why BOM is not exploding.

    Note details:

In the collective availability check, the result of the availability check is displayed via a two-digit key.

If the bill of material could not be exploded for a planned order and as a no material is to be checked, only the general message 09: 'Order could not be checked' is generated.

By implementing this note, the message 06: 'Order has no material components' is generated in this case.

    Please apply correction.

      Hi Sanjay,

Thank you for you response. Can you give me the full text of the OSS note? Also I think the OSS note # is missing a digit. And, what is the easiest way to check if a note has been applied or not? Lastly, if the note is applied and I still have the same problem, what other potential areas would I need to check.

      Thanks

Some of the components did not have Checking Groups defined in the Material Master, becuase they did not have MRP views. This was the cause of the error.

    Thank you for your response

      Solution

      1. The documentation of the data element "RC_VERF" must be enhanced:

' 06: Order has no material components '

The data element must be activated afterwards.

      2. See the attached advance corrections.
