I wanted to test some of the surveys and get results, but I could only do the simulation.

Hi,

You need to assign the survey to some business object(In case if it is Internal Survey) before you run the survey and collect the respective results.

Check the below thread and it has the required step to be followed

Note: Select the required Object based on your requirement
