hi amar,

Are you able to see the initial page of xi...?

if not ping your XI server once and see for any response.

I think you need to make an host entry in your local machine for the XI System.

<where windows installed drive>:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

in this path open the 'hosts' file and enter the following

<IP Address of XI system> <host name of the XI System>

Hi

go to windows installed directory

say C driver in your case

and go this path

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

in etc folder there will be a file called <b>hosts</b>

Open the file with notepad and you can find entry like this

127.0.0.1 localhost

<XI IP ADDRES> <HOST NAME>

under this

add the XI IP Address and host name

hi amar,

you need to give XI IP address only

Regarding host name, you can find it like this.

If you open the xi main page

http://<<b>HOSTNAME</b>>:<PORTNUMBER>/.

that is the host name !!

Cheers

you are getting the error SERVER_NOT AVAILABLE when you open the IR or ID right

Host file entries might be already present (i feel) as youa re able to open the SXMB_IFR link right?

can you try putting the JWS with 1.4.2+ version which version you ar eusing right now?

dont add your system IP address add XI IP address.

go to command prompt and give the following command

Hi,

then it is correct.

if cgnsap32 --- is the host of XI machine then it is correct.

Also check the Java web start as replied by other SDNers.

Hi! Ramesh,

What I has done is I went to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

And I opened services folder and later I checked all the services and port no: in that it was Sapdb as service name and 3200/Tcp as port no then by seeinthis and I immediately went to Hosts folder and below to 127.0.0.1 localhost

I typed 3200/128 cgnsap32 # XI Server and saved I got TCP=128 when I pinged in command prompt that ping IP address with reply 4 statements and at last for each statement TTL=128 so I added 3200/128 instead of 3200/TCP

Then I saved and tried again Finally I got IR and ID .

I am very thankful to you all
