Prevent SLED Auto-Updating after Goods Reciept

There is a material in which we have different batches, SLED is maintained in the master data of that material. Quality have changed the SLED of a specific batch through MSC2N. But when a cycle count or migo is posted system changes automatically changes the SLED and revert back it to the one maintained in master data.

Can we prevent transactions like cycle count or migo to not change the SLED?

We still require SLED to be picked up from master data at the time of production or procurement, but if the value of a batch is changed at anytime afterwards, the system should not try and reset it according to the master data.

You have to be more clearer, MIGO does all kind of movements, I doubt that you get a SLED updated with a goods issue.

For which movement type do you see this issue?

In OSS note 1693701 - Shelf life expiration date and date of manufacture in case of post goods receipt

is described how the design for receipts is when using MIGO or when using an inbound delivery. Based on that MIGO would take the info from the batch record and would not overwrite it, while the inbound delivery can lead to an overwriting if your data in the inbound delivery is different.

Also a physical count does usually just quantity adjustments of existing stock, in which situation do you see it happen here? Did you find stock? And where do you actually enter the SLED or the manufacturing date in a physical inventory to allow SAP a calculation of a new SLED?
