Hi Paulo:

Could you try right-click on the setup and click on “Run as administrator”?

Are you installing from the server's shared folder ?

Symptom

a) SAP Business One InstallShield shows "1628: Failed to complete installation.". This comes up when installing, upgrading or uninstalling any component such as Business One server or client, XL Reporter, DI API, Server Tools, copy express or other add-ons

b) Business One client installation doesn't work automatically. In cases the client has a lower version than the server (e.g. after server upgrade/update) the system is supposed to close and upgrade the Business One client automatically, discretely in the background. The system doesn't shut down by itself, the upgrade client doesn't happen

c) SAP Business One integration for NW (B1iSN) or Integration Component for SAP B1 (B1ic):
SAP Business One EventSender Service isn't running and cannot be started manually. On starting the system returns warning: 'The SAP Business One EventSender Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.'
Prerequisite here: SAP Business One Integration was not installed explicitly as administrator

Cause

Certain Operating systems such as Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows 8; 32-Bit or 64-Bit versions

Solution

Solution for a.)
Start the Autorun.exe/Upgrade.exe by right mouse click and use option 'Run as administrator' - Even if current user is an administrator on the local Windows machine.

Solution for b.)
Business One needs to started explicitly as administrator. To ensure this as a permanant solution, the privilege level has to be set accordingly: Open the properties of the SAP Business One.exe or its shortcut via right mouse click -> Properties -> Tab Compatibility -> Privilege Level -> Change settings for all users -> Privilege Level -> Run this program as an administrator
As a onetime workaround use the option 'Run as administrator'.

Solution for c.)
Deinstall B1iSN or B1ic completely. Start the Autorun.exe/Upgrade.exe by right mouse click and use option 'Run as administrator' on reinstalling.
