Lumira 2.0 Connect to HANA document migration

Hello,

We installed Lumira 2.0 and we're trying to migrate previous reports created in Lumira 1.31. We upgraded and installed Patch 8 in Lumira 1.31, but for some reason the option "Save for migration" is not available in documents created with a "connect to HANA" connection. This only happens with this type of connection, which is unfortunate because all our work was created in this way.

I would appreciate if you could shed some light on how to work around this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Neily, Unfortunately, the migration of Lumira histories does not support those documents with a HANA "Live" (online) connection.

This is due that Lumira 1.x use a direct connection to HANA database (that one being local or managed), but to get rid of driver dependencies SAP now use an OLAP-HTTP (InA) connection from their visualization solutions to SAP HANA.

I still not get with a workaround other than create the history on Lumira 2.0 Discovery from ground.

You can check de next OSS notes:

- 2526351 - SAP HANA Online Document Conversion

"If you have created SAP HANA online documents in SAP Lumira 1.x, you cannot open those documents in both SAP Lumira 2.0, discovery edition and SAP Lumira 2.0, server edition. Converting SAP HANA online documents from older versions is not supported due to underlying technical constraints. However, you can create new SAP HANA Live documents in SAP Lumira 2.0, discovery edition and SAP Lumira 2.0, server edition. The new Live connections in SAP Lumira 2.0, discovery edition are enabled with InA HTTPS connection."

- 2462202 - SAP BusinessObjects Lumira Discovery and SAP BusinessObjects Lumira, server version for BI Platform 2.0 Restrictions (SP2)
