Dear All,

Need a small info on program UJHANA_SYNC.

What is the purpose of execution of this program and how it helps for BPC cubes. What is the frequency of executing this program.

Regards

Aditya

Hi Aditya,

You need this program only if you have Native HANA Allocations enabled. In this case result of allocation goes to planning table instead of directly to the cube. Usually all scripts and Queries read data from a view based on cube AND planning table, but if you have your own BADI that reads data most probably it reads from the cube only. In such case you need to run UJHANA_SYNC before you run such BADI.

Also, if you have too many records in that planning table it slows down allocation and defeats the purpose of having it.

Regards,

Gersh

Fragment removed from note:

1902743 - Write-back Optim. for Planning and Consolidation 10 on HANA:

  • A regular and frequent data sync between planning table and BW fact table is highly recommended to ensure performance for both reporting and planning.
  • During data sync, data will be moved from planning table to BW fact table through BW write API. Process is done in backend with NO interruption on reporting and planning for end user.
