Data Services repository migration from Oracle to MySql

Please let me know, do we need to reinstall if BODS repository need to migrate Oracle to MySql? Let me know if you have any steps or precautions please?

No need to reinstall the software. In fact, you can have repositories of multple database types within a single DS installation. You can gradually migrate your existing content to the new environment.

Hi Manohar,

As Dirk already mentioned that in one landscape you have multiple database hence SAP Business Objects tools allows you to use any database for BODS local repository metadata, if you want to move all your LOGIC (Local Repository) content from MY SQL to Oracle then better to create 2 - New Schema in Oracle one for Local and other for Secure Central and then move the content accordingly, if you have N number of Local Repository follow the same steps for others as well.

Other option is to keep both once your LOGIC is copied via ATL import/export then in that case you can decommissioned MYSQL schemas.
