Hi All,

I am working on MDG-F and the requirement is to control user authorization based on controlling area. Now i have tried to limit using the authorization object in role.

I have tried using the K_CSKS object but it is not giving the desired result. I am still able to see all the Controlling areas and create in any.

Can anyone please point out which object might work in this scenario. It can be controlling area or the company code because i can use either.

Hi Momd,

You can create role based on company code or controlling area and assign to user so if user is not authorized to that role he/she will get error.

Hi Varun

I have already tried it but it is not working in case of cost center. I have maintained one specific controlling area but it still allows me to create in other controlling areas.

Dear Mohd,

I haven't authorized MDG-F yet. But I am certain that STAUTHTRACE will be very helpful in this scenario to find out which objects are being checked. Did you ran a trace and check the objects?

Hi.....i have checked that.....when i am using the transaction then it is reading the authorisation objects K_CSKS and K_CCA but the same objects are not read in case of MDG.

The second thing is that it allows my user to create in other controlling areas than the one mentioned in the authorisation object.

Thanks
