URGENT! Assign wrong right on ROOT folder! No rights for change as Admin.

Hi all BI Suite (BO BI Platform) experts!

An admin changes the rights for the ROOT folder node within the BI Suite in the Advanced tab. He set it up wrongly so nobody can change it again no. We have no rights there. Also as an Admin.

Can somebody help us?

Hi,

thanks for answering my question. I'm also in the administrator group but when I want to change the principals or access levels (role or advanced view) every button is light grey and unclickable. Only the view is possible. In the readonly mode in the advanced view I see that the Administrators group have only rights for deleting objects and all other rights are not set...

I will checking the note and come back.

Even if your are in admin group try with administrator user.Administrator user has full control.

Andre,

You will need to ask some with Administrator permissions to reset the ROOT folder permissions to:

  • Administrator have FULL Access to ALL Objects & Sub-Objects
  • Everyone have VIEW only to OBJECT only, NO Sub-Objects.
  • Everyone also have NO DELETE permissions to Objects onlt, NO Sub-Objects.

If even the Administrator is having issues settings the permissions then you will need to physically go on the BOBJ server and run commands in CONSOLE mode, see KB on how to many changes security.

check with Administrator user.with administrator user you can access.
