WebUi status is greyed out

I have a User status field which is greyed out in WebUI and therefore, one cannot change the status even in edit mode. But when i access the transaction via CRMD_ORDER, I am abale to change the status and it will update in WebUi. Using EEW, the field is not indicated as display only.

What could be the issue?

    Could you please confirm if the user status field is a standard or created via EEW or AET ?
