I am studying workflow.Just wanted a small example to explain the steps for creating a workflow.

goto help.sap.com and search for workflow tutorial,

also check the faq and wiki of the WORKFLOW forum (this is an abat data transers forum and has absolutely almost nothing to do with workflow)

in an R/3 system you can use SWDM (this is the worklfow explorer) to find a wf about a business process you're familiar with.
