    Hi Milind,

first take the start date and check as below

    if start_date0(2) <> '01' and start_date3(2) <> '04'.

    raise error message.

    endif.

    if end_date0(2) <> '31' and end_date3(2) <> '03'.

    raise error message.

    endif.

    I have a suggestion.

    You can create 2 fields.

First: an input enabled field - for year.

Second: an output field (input disabled) - for date.

Once the user selects the year you can append the date i.e. 01.04 to the year selected and display the same in the output field.

Well then - only have the user enter the year(s). You can then format them yourself. Since it gives the users less chance to make an error, they will be happier with this.
