PLD and TAX summary

I have to ask about a problem customizing a layout based on "Invoice (DIN)" template.

TAX summary is a ripetitive area under the Item List repetitive area.

This means that, TAX summary could appear in the middle of the page.

Our customers usually have TAX summary at the end of the page, in te Page Footer.

Question is that: How can I place a TAX summary in the Page Footer?

In the template "Invoice_item Type and Details" TAX summary consist in a list of field I can hide then copy via a formula field. In new template, with repetitive area, I am not able to use this method.

Any suggestion?

Yes Jonny, you are right. In that particular layout, it is not possible simply because the end of report is not a repetitive area so you can't get the fields to repeat for each line occurance.

Maybe someone else has a solution for this?

The fields in an A/R Invoice layout (Repetitive area footer) are not database fields or variables. They are text fields ("placeholders") which receive information from SBO at time of execution of the print. So you need to replicate these fields in the end of report area.

I suggest you do the following:

Create formula fields in the 'End of report area'. eg.if the field (in the repetitive are footer) you want to replicate, has a unique ID no F_202, then in Formula editor, expand repetitive area (footer) and double click on field F_202. Now you have a formula field in the 'End of report area' which will diplay the contents of field F_202. Do this for all the other fields you want to replicate.

I hope I have explained this adequately. Please revert back if you need more help.

Maybe I can e-mail you some screenshots if need be.

Problem is that: in the "Invoice (DIN)" layout (but in Invoice_IT (DIN) layout too) I have Tax Summary like a repetitive area. There is only a text field in the repetitive area. But If I have 2 or 3 TAX type, in the list I will have 3 lines.

Problem is that: If I will have, i.e., 3 types of TAX (but I can have 2 types or 1 type only, it depend from each invoice...), how can I copy the 1 or 2 or 3 or .. lines at the end of page area?

Using "Invoice_Type Item and Detail" layout it's easy because layout expose 10 different lines system populate at runtime and I can copy fields in the footer without problems.

I cannot use "Invoice_Type Item and Detail" because errors in the tax summary of template.

Using "Invoice (DIN)" template, TAX summary is not a list of fields but a repetitive area. So, I cansee only 1 text field. This field will be a list at runtime. So How can I replicare all the lines? Number of lines will change from one invoice to anoter.

You can also add formula fields in the end of report area and make the fields in the repetitive area (footer) not visible. That way the tax fields will only display in the end of report area.

YES!

I am not so practic to solve this problem by myself.

How can I create a set of formula fields to replicate repetitive area contents in the page footer?

I have VAT in repetitive area, but I need to replicate it in the page footer.
