Overview of Hardware requirements for CIC Webclient Implementation

Dear All,

Where can I get an overview idea about hardware requirements for CIC Webclient implementation. I have visited many vendor websites, but nowhere I somewhat couldn't get the clarity of what are the exact hardware needed for Call Center setup using SAP CIC (Webclient), and what hardware meant for what.

Could any one of you please help me to understand this concept, your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello Ram,

IC web client cosists of Java Components and BSP/ABAP components.

ICWeb client Java server Provides the following java components.

1)Scripting 2)Alert service 3)Telephony service 4)Chat and Email service.

The follwing are the hardware requirements

1)SAP J2EE engine

2)OS: MsWindows 2000 SRV,Linux/Intel GLIBC, HP-UX 11i,

Solaris/Sparc 9, AIX5.2

Prerequisite Software:

1)Install atleast CRM4.0 on the R/3 side(refer installation guide)

2)Insstall the necassry elements for Web applications

(J2EE,SDM(sap software delivery manager),SAP Java Connector)

3)Business Communication Broker

4)Install and Configure Computing Center Managemtn System(CCMS)

5)Install CRM software agent framework.

Mr. Muralidahr Prasad,

Thank you very much for your response, but I am looking for the hardware information for Call Center setup. where as we implementing sap cic webclient application for it.

My confusion is from Telephony system end, What telephony system we need to use like Avaya, Cisco, Nortel etc...., what standard as well other functionalities will it brings, what is CTI, What is CMS, How can we integrate with SAP. What does it mean gateway, does this telephoney systems include IVR, ACD and other functionalities, How SAP integrate with SMS, Chat, Mail, Fax and with other communication channels.

Please do help me to get a clarification on above issues, if not please let me know where can I get the Information on Internet.
