Cross Company Code Maintenance and Reporting

I need your thoughts on a cross company maintenance scenario.

There are multiple plants belongs to different company codes. 1 to 1 relationship exists between company codes and maintenance plant. To provide example - 4 maintenance plant (M1, M2, M3 & M4) belongs to company code CA,CB, CC & CD. All company code belongs to one controlling area.

Spare parts inventory, Purchasing & Maintenance staff is common and shared by all plants and belongs to Maintenance plant M1 and company code CA ( It has to belong to some company code). Maintenance planning is centralized. lets say Planning plant is M1, which is also a maintenance plants belongs to company code CA.

1. How do we setup Plant Maintenance module so that every maintenance plant get reporting on their maintenance expenses (Labor, material, purchasing, etc) incurred in their plant/company code.

    Amit Kushwaha,

We have a similar setup at this client with only two plants, one of them providing all the labour and inventory..

Assuming that maintenance plants M1/2/3/4 have the same planning plant of M1.

Then you can set up the materials such that they only exist in M1. And your work centres are also set up in M1 only.

Your flocs/Equip then need a maintenance plant of M1/2/3/4, and a planning plant of M1. THe flocs/equip need to be assigned to cost centres for the given plant (M1/2/3/4). And the task lists and maintenance plans are also setup in planning plant M1.

You can now start posting costs to the PM orders. And you can analyse the order data via IW38/9 by maintenance plant (M1/2/3/4). You can also look at the cost centre postings once settlement has been performed on the orders.
