Purchasing groups.

Hi,

what are the advantages of managing more than one purchasing group

instead of only one? Statistics or are involved other things?

Best regards

    Hi,

Not only statisctical reports, but also processing.

For example, we have 8 productlines in the factory. Per product line we

have one responsable person for purchasing raw materials.

After the MRP run several PR are created. We setup per productline a

different purchase group. Now the responable person selects his or her

purchase group to convert PR2PO. In this way the check is done per person, per

productline before processing pr2po. The selection is then done per purchase group. Hope it helps you.

    Eric.
